A few years back, after the birth of my first child I organised a shoot with a photographer. It was stiff, awkward - and certainly didn't capture the personality of our family. Despite having captured hundreds of images, the photographer's pricing was such that I only ended up with one of the images. Sadly, following this experience there is a three year gap where there are no nice photos of our family or the kids as young siblings.
Chell of Arlo and Oak however was everything that the previous photographer was not. She is warm, puts everyone at ease and is fantastic with kids. She captured so many beautiful images - and restored my confidence and commitment to documenting the fleeting seasons as our family grows.

Chell is not only a talented photographer but also one of my closest friends so I knew exactly who I wanted to take our family photos after our baby girl arrived and our little fam was finally complete. Chell is kind, patient and her warmth makes you feel instantly comfortable. The result was beautiful, natural family photos at golden hour in a park near our home. She managed to capture our individual personalities almost like it was effortless which is no easy feat with a sleep deprived mumma, camera hating hubby, mischievous four year old and a brand new baby.
